Overview

• To gather, report and provide the results of Beta testing. This includes testing from the Beta Team and the Beta Testers on new Construction and Survey application software/solutions. These results are provided to QA, the Cross Functional Team and Product Management to help determine market release readiness.

Responsibilities

• Test software solution in conjunction with customer real world testing
• Verify and record reported issues into JIRA for ENG/PM to determine priority for release
• Guide Beta testers throughout the program on goals, issues, deadlines and reporting mechanisms
• Create and maintain Beta Test Plans (using Getfeedback an online program) throughout the program to the conclusion and eventual market release
• Gather and provide feedback from the Beta testers to the Beta Manager, Cross Functional Team, Beta Confluence page, etc...
• Provide solutions to other Beta Team members, Beta Testers, etc… on reported issues as needed
• Create and maintain testing forum using Salesforce Chatter Groups establishing communication between the Beta tester, the Beta Test team, Engineering and Product Management
• Recruit and approve potential Beta testers for assigned Beta Programs
• Attend Project Meetings for assigned Beta Programs
• Prepare NDA/Beta Agreements for customer and legal approvals prior to testing
Minimum Job Requirements:
• Must have good written and verbal skills and be able to confidently work with testers, team members, and other organizations
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision
• Must have general understanding of construction and surveying applications

Qualifications

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree (A.A) from a two-year college or university; and or one to two years related work experience for a contractor, surveying firm, or state or federal agency; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Computer skills- Word, Excel, Power Point, etc…
• Focused and detailed orientated
• Desire to work with customers in a testing environment
• Knowledge of Optical & Robotic Total Stations
• Knowledge of Autodesk, Bentley, Civil CAD, AutoCAD
• Knowledge of GNSS applications
• Knowledge of BUG Reporting tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, etc…
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 processes

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Required to set up & tear down test equipment
• Required to walk with test equipment in hand for distances up to a mile
• May require maneuvering on and around earth moving equipment
• At times may require working long periods of times in one position
• May require climbing onto vehicles and or buildings to set up or check test equipment
Working Conditions:
• Travel to Beta sites and or training programs to be expected 15 -20% of the time
• Some testing can be done in the office at a desk but most will require being outside
• Other duties of the job beside testing can be done at ones desk
• May be required to work long periods in hot or cold environments to test solutions durability’s and or meet program deadlines
• May be required to work on sites with moving earth moving machinery
