Overview

Located central to cafes, restaurants and walking distance to trains, buses and City Cat, Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of precision positioning equipment. Due to new projects, we are actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage hardware, software and firmware projects with a focus on supporting the Engineering teams in Brisbane in delivering a high level of service to our OEM customers.

Responsibilities

  • Project management responsibilities on engineering projects for Machine Control Technologies.
  • Manage communication and deliverables with OEM customers.
  • Actively manage engineering and software development teams across multiple sites to meet agreed deliverables.
  • Negotiate and execute resource planning for engineering teams across multiple projects, managing load and resource conflicts.
  • Manage communications and deliverables with project teams, management, stakeholders and customers.
  • Take ownership of risks and issues and ensure escalation to management when needed.

Qualifications

  • Extensive years of Project management working with geographically and organization culturally diverse teams.
  • Extensive experience in hardware focused technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage software and hardware projects through all stages of the project management lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver medium to large complex projects within scope and budget. 
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous software and hardware engineering development projects and teams.
  • Agile project management experience with knowledge of collaboration tools such as Confluence and Jira.
  • Proven leadership and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, independently and across different time zones.
  • Self-starter and self-motivated whilst demonstrating a strong team work ethic.
  • Technical aptitude that enables sound decision making and project prioritization
  • Work experience in Construction technology highly desirable.
  • Degree in Project Management, IT or Equivalent. 
  • PMP certification or equivalent.
