Sales Development Manager (m/f) - Europe and Major OEM


The Sales Development Manager is responsible for supporting and executing the sales growth strategy for Europe. The focus is to drive sales growth in Europe to help meet customer acquisition and revenue growth targets.  This position will be responsible for working with customers as well as a number of internal departments to maximize sales potential.


  • Interfaces with OEM customers, distributors and dealers in Europe to expand Topcon’s presence and distribution.
  • Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies and sales plans; analyzing trends and results.
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Works with Finance, Operations, Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and other departments internally to build processes and tools to support the European sales team and the customer base.
  • Represents Topcon at trade association meetings, tradeshows, and other industry events to promote the company and its products.
  • Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Reviews and negotiates custom contracts and other legal agreements.


  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, engineering, or related field
  • Knowledge of agricultural machinery/precision agriculture or a related field.
  • Five plus years of related experience.
  • Detail oriented, ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibility and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to develop and manipulate data as required for reports, presentations, etc.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to comprehend legal contracts.
