Topcon is looking for an experienced administrator to drive automation of processes and manage the next evolution of our Salesforce.com (SFDC) environment. This includes configuration, maintenance, administration, and integration with other systems. This person will work closely with stakeholders to develop business and technical requirements, and deliver solutions based on those requirements. The ideal candidate will have solid experience administering the Salesforce.com platform including out-of-the box / declarative tools, but also have the ability to demonstrate some acumen with Apex and Visualforce. You will inherit a mature org (10 years), own it, and design customizations, extensions, etc to help us continue to grow. Great opportunity to work with an innovative company.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver scalable, high-quality Salesforce services in support of our company mission
  • Provide excellent customer service to Salesforce users
  • Administer Salesforce
  • Triage and fulfill incoming requests for custom functionality using declarative and code-based skills
  • Assist with report development, configuration and data migration
  • Support release planning and deployment
  • Keep up with current technology trends
  • Assess and make recommendations on processes, designs, operations, and testing
  • Deliver special projects as needed in an effective and efficient manner

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

 

  • Education and experience equivalent to BS degree in Computer Science or related degree
  • Minimum 6+ years of total IT
  • Extraordinary problem solver with the ability to cross between detailed data and high-level insights
  • Ability to communicate effectively cross functionally with both executive management and end users
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing and delivering against multiple project deadlines and milestones
  • Superior Salesforce.com administration experience - (User, Roles, Profile, Workflows, Approval Process, Relationship Object, Page Layout, Validation rules, Field sharing and Security, Company profile)
  • ADM certification required
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Loader

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of programming logic and constructs, specifically in Salesforce, Force.com, Apex Code, Visualforce, SOQL, triggers and their use in software development
  • Dreamforce attendance a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Force.com Apex Classes, Apex triggers, Integration, Visual force, Force.com API.
  • Basic VisualForce, Custom Controllers and components.
  • Preferred understanding of Salesforce Web Services APIs, Force.com SOAP and REST-based Web Services APIs, the Bulk API, and the Metadata API
  • Experience in developing Lighting Components (experience migrating to Lightning Experience a plus)
  • Prior experience with data migration and ETL/integration tools such as Pervasive & Jitterbit
