  • Overview

    This position will be a key resource for the component team to develop new supply sources to improve cost competitiveness and be the conduit between the company and supplier.



    • Interfaces with development and supplier to provide materials and components for company product manufacturing.
    • Communicates product specs to suppliers and assesses supplier’s ability to meet Eng. and Quality requirements.
    • Evaluates supplier’s internal functions to assess their overall performance and provides feedback.
    • Monitors parts from acquisition through the mfg. cycle, communicates and resolves supplier related problems as they occur.
    • Develop positive relationships and work closely with sourcing leaders to manage, implement and track supplier/engineering, design changes, capacity studies and new product introductions, and transfers.
    • Supports New Product Introduction from Engineering through to production.
    • Develops and prioritizes an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis.
    • Develop and create 8D reports.
    • Support process improvement programs.



    Education & Experience:

    • 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • 3+ years’ experience in a quality environment.
    • 1+ years of supplier auditing experience.
    • Must have working experience with PCBA's.
    • Must have injection molding and casting expereince.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

    • Ability to perform root cause analysis.
    • Ability to create 8D reports.
    • Ability to create PPAP Documents.
    • Knowledge of GD&T.
    • Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5.
    • Proficient in MS Office.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS and Business Systems.
    • Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment.
    • Report and procedure writing with excellent presentation skills.
    • 5% US travel
    • 15% International travel
