  • Overview

    Under direction of the Americas Aftermarket Sales Manager, this role performs a variety of duties aimed at managing client relationships, as well as developing new business from existing clients. 

    Responsibilities

    • Effectively maintains and retains existing customers by building long-term relationships.
    • Responds to all inquiries, cancellation requests, and sales requests within specified timeframe.
    • Participates in continued education to learn about new products and improved sales techniques.
    • Sets up meetings between client decision makers and company’s leaders/principals.
    • Attends industry functions, such as association events, conferences, and trade shows to provide feedback and information on the market and creative trends.
    • Meets potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging current network.
    • Develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
    • Presents to and consults with management on business trends with a view to developing new products, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
    • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identifies and develops the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
    • Assists the Business Development Manager through the on boarding process with new clients to ensure a seamless transition.  
    • Submits weekly progress reports and ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system

    Qualifications

     

     Education & Experience:

     

    ·         BS in Agricultural Business, Engineering, Marketing, or equivalent is preferred.

    ·         3+ years’ experience in a sales or marketing capacity in the Ag Industry.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

     

    ·         Openness to travel up to 75%.

    ·         Background in farming and precision ag with an interest in sales, marketing, and customer relations.

    ·         Ability to successfully work in a team.

    ·         Strong interpersonal and follow-up skills.

    ·         Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

    ·         Sound business and financial acumen.

    ·         Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

    ·         Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and procedures.

    ·         Highly organized and efficient.

    ·         Self-motivated and able to work independently.

    ·         Shows consistent professionalism and good judgement.
