    Responsibilities

    Topcon is seeking a customer-focused, highly motivated, and relationship dedicated individual to be part of the Human Resources team. This is a critical role responsible for providing advice and counsel to managers and employees in the resolution of various matters. This role is an integral part of the business they support and all the Human Resources team. This role will report directly to the Director, Human Resources for Europe.

     

    Core Job Responsibilities:

     

    Main responsibility:

    • Serve as a liaison between employees, management, and Human Resources providing consultation relevant to Human Resource issues, policies, practices, procedures, and employment laws and regulations.
    • Responsible for managing and owning the performance management system, to include data information implementation, performance evaluations, performance development plans, and performance improvement plans.
    • Responsible for conducting training needs assessments and developing and delivering training solutions to address training needs
    • Execution of the standardized HR processes in Europe (HR System, Recruitment, Leadership and Talent Management & Compensation and Benefit)
    • Design and implementation of local policy and non-standard process development, in compliance with local regulations
    • Implement Compensation Plans (Pay Plan) for Europe following Global guidelines
    • Responsible for maintaining and auditing employee data (business supported only) within HRIS (Human Resource Information System).
    • Partner with recruiter for retail business in Europe to ensure recruitment for retail business is successfully being supported.
    • Partner with COE (Center of Expertise) functions; Talent Acquisition, Operations & Compensation on various process, projects and programs as related to Retail business.
    • Implementation, consolidation and management of different variable systems in Retail organization
    • Coordination of labour cost analysis and of headcount budgeting, forecasting & actual data in collaboration with Finance
    • Supervises the common and sensitive personal data processing system by organizing and supervising each application phase, in compliance with personal data protection laws in force.
    • Appropriate management of administrative processes

    Qualifications

    • University degree (ideally in Law or Business Economics)
    • Minimum 6 years’ experience in the position of HR business manager, preferably in an international environment and in development area.
    • English (Written and spoken), Spanish or French are a bonus.
    • Enjoys multi-tasking and able to establish a rhythm and operating system for meeting all deadlines
    • Demonstrates strong decision-making skills
    • Strong ability to prioritize workload while maintain a flexible and efficient focus to continue to adjust as business needs change.
    • Good level of autonomy with a hands-on approach
    • Works well in a matrix management organization       
    • Strong analytical mind-set with a keen eye for detail and the ability to problem solve.
    • Experience in planning, assessing and implementing change
    • Exercises a high level of discretion and respects private and confidential information

     

    System Expertise

    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
    • Strong hands on experience with a HRIS system; experience with Workday is a plus
