    Topcon Agriculture, a division of the Topcon Positioning Group, provides advanced IoT connected field and farm management solutions for aftermarket and OEM customers in the agriculture industry, integrating high-precision hardware, software, and data to bring efficiency and enhance productivity to every phase of the farming operations.

     

    As a key member of the Human Resources Staff, responsibilities will include administration and coordination of human resources programs and practices within the organization.  Although working as an HR Generalist, primary focus areas are in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Compensation and Benefits, and assisting in payroll processing.  Other assignments will include talent acquisition and maintaining positive employee relations. 

     

    ***  This position would be a 5-6 month assignment, 25-40 hours per week.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    1.      Assist in processing of payroll in accordance with documented time and attendance records, wage rates, compensation plans, and employee benefits requirements.

    2.      Maintain accurate employee information in Workday/Payroll HRIS system

    3.      Prepare analysis on confidential Human Resources information, compensation data, organization charts, records, etc. for internal analysis and external reporting

    4.      Coordinate talent acquisition activity including search, screen, interview, and candidate selection with Hiring Managers.  Work with internet/web candidate search tools, media advertisements, search firms, staffing agencies, etc.

    5.      Administer compensation programs providing counsel to Supervisors/Managers as appropriate.

    6.      Assist in maintaining positive employee relations climate and work environment

    7.      Assist in employee communications efforts through email, postings, newsletters, meetings, etc.

    8.      Facilitate Employee Recreation and Wellness activities and lead committees.

    9.      Participate on Safety committee

    10.  Administer Workers Compensation Program.   

    11.  Performs other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    1.      BS or equivalent in Business/Human Resources and 5+ years of related experience

    2.      PHR or SHRM-CP  is preferred

    3.      Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral

    4.      Ability to communicate with people at all levels and at remote and international locations

    5.      Strong problem solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment

    6.      Strong negotiation skills

    7.      Working knowledge  of HRIS and Payroll Systems

    8.      Strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft tools

    9.      Able to work extended hours as needed.

    10.  Drive to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
