    Topcon is a comprehensive ophthalmic device manufacturer within the worldwide ophthalmic community. It introduced the world’s first commercial back-of-the-eye spectral domain (SD) and swept source (SS) optical coherence tomography (OCT) systems, which have driven innovation in eye-care.

    More recently, Topcon Healthcare Solutions started to enhance not only its hardware but also its software solutions. To become the leader in diagnostic software, Topcon has developed a new strategic division whose primary objective is to create world-class software solutions for the eye-care industry and beyond. Our products enable the collection and visualization of a wide range of imaging and clinical data while providing quantitative and clinical analysis capabilities. Topcon’s software gives clinicians access to patient exam data captured from OCTs, Visual Fields, Fundus cameras, and other Topcon and third-party devices. We leverage Topcon’s image management software called Synergy, where practitioners gain access to DICOM and non-DICOM information stored in a central, cloud-based environment. Additionally, Topcon now provides an integrated service that connects practitioners to an extensive network of reading services to assist in the management of sight-threatening eye diseases.


    The Implementation Specialist will work closely with our customers to implement our software solution. During the sales process this person will become familiar with the customer and their IT set up. The individual will then be responsible for conducting technical calls with the customer and review the implementation process and timeline while remaining in regular contact regarding the stats of the customer implementation to go live and for post go live support.  The successful candidate will serve as the primary contact to perform remote modality integration into database image management applications for new and existing customers. 


    • Responsible for setup, installation and configuration of Synergy, Topcon’s database image management application
    • Perform remote training sessions for customers on the image management application
    • Lead technical implementation meetings
    • Troubleshoot customer issues via remote assistance
    • Upgrade system changes via remote access
    • Provides feedback based on client experiences to product and professional services teams for product and process improvements
    • Escalate systemic/application issues


    Education & Experience

    • BS degree or equivalent practical experience in IT, Database and Network concepts
    • Experience with the following programs: Microsoft Windows and Microsoft network environment (DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP etc).
    • Experience with Networking, Programming/Scripting, Automation
    • Familiar with DICOM, HL&, IHE and SQL
    • Proven ability to solve technical customer issues

    Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

    • Possess excellent customer service skills.
    • Extensive Technical Knowledge and the ability to grasp new software modules.
    • Be an expert at analyzing, troubleshooting and solving problems.
    • Effectively communicate and work with that team.
