The Topcon Solutions Store is looking for a BIM/Vertical Construction Salesperson. The primary job of the BIM/Vertical Construction Salesperson is to develop and maintain our relationship with the Construction customer that works on constructing larger commercial buildings; usually two stories or more (hence the term Vertical Construction). These customers are either completely new to our technologies or are seasoned veterans of the BIM (Building Information Model) process. The BIM process involves managing the construction of a building through one master digital model and maintaining that model throughout the construction and on through the life of that building. Our technologies help the Construction firms extract the proper data from that model and show them where to do the construction for their particular specialty – Electrical, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Suppression, etc. Some of these customers have never used this technology and the Salesperson’s job is to show them how it will benefit them and make them more money. Some of these customers have been using this technology for a while but might be using a competitor’s product. The Salesperson’s job in this case is to show the advantage of using Topcon products from the Topcon Solutions Store.
Our technologies include Robotic Total Stations, 3D Laser Scanners, GPS equipment, UAV (Drones), rugged handheld computers, and software used in the office and in the field. The Topcon Solutions Store will invest considerable time and effort in training our new salespeople on all our products, solutions, and sales techniques.
In a typical week, a BIM/Vertical Construction Salesperson could find themselves presenting a proposal in a boardroom, demonstrating a product on a construction site, training a customer at our office, climbing to the top of an under-construction high-rise, or learning a new product at a Topcon factory facility.
BS in Business or Marketing or equivalent or associated training and/or experience in Sales
2 or more years in a Sales capacity preferred
